If you’re ready to make a visible impact on your community while advancing your career, this is the opportunity for you! ---------------------------------------- 💼 POSITION DETAILS * Title: Repair Technician * Location: Deming, New Mexico * Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM * Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (DOE) ---------------------------------------- 🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Repair Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping New Mexico’s rest areas safe, functional, and welcoming by: * 🛠️ Performing repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems * 💡 Diagnosing and troubleshooting facility and equipment issues * 🧰 Training rest area staff on proper maintenance procedures * 🚜 Operating and maintaining equipment (mowers, tractors, man lifts) * 🏗️ Completing carpentry, stucco, concrete, and structural repairs * 🌿 Maintaining irrigation and water systems, including pumps and septic systems * 📋 Ensuring all work meets safety, cleanliness, and contract compliance standards Your expertise ensures travelers experience safe, reliable, and well-maintained rest areas across the region. ---------------------------------------- 📘 QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED EDUCATION * High School Diploma or GED EXPERIENCE * Minimum 5 years experience in general trades * HVAC, electrical, or electronics experience preferred LICENSES & CLEARANCES * Valid Driver’s License * Must pass: * MVR check * General background check * OIG/CMMS Exclusions screening SKILLS & ABILITIES ✔ Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills ✔ Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and construction trades ✔ Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings ✔ Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards ✔ Ability to operate heavy equipment safely (vehicles up to 26,000 BVM) ✔ Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and reliable ✔ Bilingual (Spanish) a strong plus! ---------------------------------------- ✨ WHY JOIN TRESCO?
