Teqniq is searching for a Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader to work in the public sector.
37 hours per week.
25 weeks contract.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Must have experience in diagnosing damp and mould and remediating damp and mould issues
Must have experience in dealing with disrepair
Driving licence and access to a vehicle required for role
To support the Principal Officer Repairs and Maintenance, through partnership working, in the delivery of Charnwood Borough’s mission,vision and values and the delivery of the Management Agreement and Delivery Plan.
To support the Principal Officer Repairs and Maintenance with the achievement of strategic, corporate and partnership initiatives for the repairs and investment services.
To supervise and manage the trade workforce of the repairs service to ensure excellent services are provided to customers and performance against targets meet the workplace’s expectations.
To support the embedding of a value for money culture that delivers continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
To contribute to the workplace’s out of hours call out service.
To demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, leading by example and providing an excellent role model for other employees.
To develop and maintain a customer focused culture, values and reputation in all of the workplace’s markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, sub contractors, partners and regulatory /official bodies.
To ensure that there is performance accountability within the repairs and maintenance service, and that there is a full commitment to the delivery of excellent customer focussed services.
To ensure that the repairs and maintenance service has an awareness of the sector and its challenges and looks for ways to exceed customer expectations through a focus on continuous improvement and a proactive approach to all best practice.
To act as an ambassador of the workplace by displaying at all times a professional and responsible attitude.
To ensure that all trade staff are trained and empowered to deliver service improvements and to create a working environment where staff feel valued and motivated.
To ensure that the organisation’s health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion policies are fully implemented at all times and in all aspects of service delivery and employment. To support on all safeguarding requirements for the service area.
To ensure compliance with Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, all legal, statutory and any other relevant provisions governing or affecting the workplace.
To ensure risk management operates effectively throughout the repairs and maintenance service.
To ensure effective budgetary management, including delivering recharges to workplace procedures, which maximises value and minimises expenditure and ensures effective controls and management of resourses.
To support the development and report on repairs and maintenance strategies which are agreed by Residents, the Board and Executive Management Team and meet the organisation’s goals.
To support in the effective procurement and contract management of external suppliers and contractors in supporting the delivery of repairs & maintenance services.
To support other service managers in ensuring the effective procurement of services to support the delivery of excellent repairs and investment services.
To support the Principal Officer - Repairs & Maintenance in contributing to the development and implementation of an integrated strategic and commercial approach to the delivery of an excellent repairs and maintenance service.
