ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
As the Reparation Co-ordinator / ISS your role is compliant with Youth Justice statutory guidance but also incorporates early help and signposting. You will be expected to form strong links with local community organisations to establish partnerships that will enable children and young people to complete their reparation or participate in constructive activities to remain safely in the community.
Utilising your experience of working with children displaying offending, high risk or vulnerable behaviour, you will operate from a ‘child first’ approach that recognises and challenges factors leading to discrimination, disproportionality and safeguarding concerns such as child criminal exploitation.
You will be required to communicate effectively with children, young people and their families, ensuring that their views and wishes are acknowledged and recorded accurately while establishing rapport and building respectful, honest and trusted working relationships with them.
