Description Starting Wage: $21.30/hour Department: Grocery Reports To: Grocery Manager Location: All City Market Locations Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 7 Summary The Replenishment Buyer - Grocery (Dry Goods) orders product for the Dry Goods subdepartment, supporting the Co-op’s objectives for sales and margin by assuring acceptable inventory levels, while meeting consumer demand and minimizing shrink. This role is routinely entrusted with Co-op-wide confidential information necessary to perform its essential duties, including sales and margin targets, financial projections, and strategic plans related to revenue. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is required. Day-to-Day Duties Support and participate in stocking activities in the Grocery department. Support the purchasing activities by filling in for buying in all sub-departments. Monitor sales and margin metrics and help manage inventory levels. Assist the department and helping to keep the equipment in working order, including cleaning, organizing shelves, producing displays, rotating stock, and labeling items. Assist other stockers, customers and staff as needed and offer the highest level of customer service. Compliance with established City Market procedures regarding operations, sales, & safety. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 years of buying, receiving, or grocery retail experience OR 3 years of retail experience required. High School diploma or GED and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience with POS or inventory management software preferred. Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
