West Coast Kids is a modern baby & kids boutique that has been in business for over 45 years. We have 10 stores across Canada and have a full-time opening for a Replenishment Buyer position. We are looking for a reliable and dedicated employee that is in search of a long term, permanent position. We promote within the company and offer benefits for all our full-time staff.
The Replenishment Buyer will work with a set of vendors and inventory categories to manage vendor relationships, purchasing, inventory, stock management and ensure inventory listings are kept up to date. The successful candidate will love numbers, be detail oriented, have a passion for sourcing and negotiating deals and have a university or college degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· 1-2 Years of experience purchasing consumer hard goods
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems)
· Strong analytical skills and comprehension
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment with the ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

· Maintaining relationships with key vendors
· Purchasing inventory and following up with vendors on availability and ship dates
· Oversee inventory & suggest transfers among locations to prevent over stock and ensure inventory levels are balanced
· Keeping customer service, marketing and retail staff informed of inventory availability
· Maintaining product information and assisting the e-commerce department in sourcing information and pictures
· Reviewing sales targets and inventory levels to ensure inventory is being kept at acceptable levels
· Assisting in building product selection
· Securing products for promotions and marketing programs
