Description

The Report Writer I assists the professional engineers in the completion of the forensic engineering explorations by conducting background research and producing an initial draft report. In addition, this role assists by performing other tasks as needed to support the department and clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required along with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced office environment. An associate or bachelor’s degree in English, science, engineering, or a related field and experience in an engineering firm are preferred. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and time demands. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel and have a working knowledge of Outlook. Experience with SalesForce software is preferred.

Able to consistently identify and correct errors, maintain organized work and workspaces, work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. Interacts with others respectfully, values differences, and has a positive impact.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this position primarily involve sedentary work. Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, utilizing a computer keyboard and mouse. Occasional light lifting, not exceeding 15 pounds, may be necessary
