POSITION SUMMARY

The Reporting and Reinsurance Accounts Analyst will be part of the newly merged Reporting and Reinsurance Accounts team inside AXA Partners CLP, reporting to the Head of Central and Eastern Europe, Northern and Ireland Region.
The individual will manage a portfolio of Direct and Reinsurance Partners within the regional scope and will be responsible for the preparation, delivery and payment of Accounts ( including Commissions Statements) within the timeframe agreed with the Partners.
The candidate will also be responsible to prepare and deliver any additional reporting agreed with the Partners.
In this role the individual will be responsible to account for all the Reinsurance transactions in the Reinsurance system ensuring accuracy of the information for our internal accounting and technical-actuarial needs.
The individual will be responsible to either set up the deal in the Reinsurance system or to supervise the product set up in the different administrative tools including the Scheme Database.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance practices, advanced financial & analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to meet organisational goals.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting or similar education profile with relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of Reinsurance arrangements, previous experience in the reinsurance sector desirable
  • Proficiency in accounting
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and proactive.

  • Ability to evolve in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (in particular Excel), finance tools and database management

Responsibilities

Within the Technical Accounts and Portfolio Management Department, the selected candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of Direct and Reinsurance Clients, which they will manage autonomously, under the supervision of the Head of Region (NAI Norcee) Reporting and Reinsurance Accounts Team. The main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage a portfolio of Reinsurance Accounts, collaborating with Partners and Internal functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Reconcile and analyse Reinsurance accounts, manage Client queries and liaise with other departments to comply with any internal / external reporting requirements
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Deployment and Configuration Teams to ensure Direct and Reinsurance contract parameters are created correctly in operating systems including NBS review and sign off
  • Reconcile Client Bordereau’s, Statement of Accounts and manage receivable / payable positions ensuring cash matching or cash settlements per agreed process using AXA Cash or other system
  • Review and approve all outputs from Invoicing Team for commission payments and invoices sent to Direct Clients
  • Assist and define solutions for any manual required items on new deals that TIA cannot accommodate
  • Manage and maintain all tracking and dashboard files ensuring up to date analysis
  • Participation in IBA’s, Deal Review and any other business related project forums as required
  • Assist Commercial Teams with any queries arising on Client Reporting or Reinsurance account items
  • Fully assist and coordinate with the Head of Region for any data required by AXA France Accounting & Actuarial Team
