Description
The role is accountable for managing the GBS Transition Management and Governance (“TMG”) data needs to create cleansed/ validated/ structured information that meet program requirements for all work transitions into Manulife Business Processing Services (“MBPS”). The Reporting Specialist is responsible for providing data and insights to Transition Management team to ensure timely, data-driven and effective discussions with key stakeholders and senior leadership. Role and Responsibilities Manage transition data needs through creation and maintenance of TMG data sets Work closely with Transition Managers to gather requirements for reporting and analytics Check data completeness, and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reasonableness Prepare management reports through existing tools and processes. The reporting analyst shall also be tasked to support new initiatives for data visualization and process improvements. Manage data in unstructured formats and convert it into understandable or usable format Extract, import and export data from multiple sources, perform data sanitation for large volumes and prepare correlating models/calculations Identify relationships in information and reconcile to create insights for management. Analyze and resolve routine data issues and execute processes to resolve complex data and system problems. Research of data may also be required. Provide support to ongoing data architecture improvement programs across MBPS and act as POC with their associated governance teams. Serve as a liaison between TMG, WFM and TA and other areas to ensure provision of quality and consistent data related to Transitions Be a risk champion by performing security access reviews on a periodic basis to all information owned by TMG and stored within TMG tools and applications. Ensure compliance to records retention policies for destruction and archive of data. This includes implementing a robust data backup process to ensure information is timely and properly secured. Perform ad-hoc research and analysis to support overall business initiatives and reporting projects Qualifications Undergraduate degree in any course with an aspiration for a career in reporting and analytics 2+ years relevant experience in a services outsourcing organization (BPO) managing large sets of information. Experience in executing reports with attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy and quality Strong technical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in ambiguous environment with matrix reporting lines Adaptability to change and managing workloads with aggressive timelines. Working knowledge and understanding of business data standards, policies and infrastructure, architecture and technology in related areas from a design/ support/ solutions perspective. Communicates effectively with strong interpersonal skills. Should have excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, Automate (i.e. mastery of excel formulas, pivot tables). VBA is preferred but not required. Proficient in O365 Sharepoint and MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Project.
