Description
Design, develop, and implement control system architectures using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Program and configure industrial controllers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) for process automation. Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning of control systems in production environments. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure seamless system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control logic diagrams, system manuals, and maintenance procedures. Perform root cause analysis on control system failures and recommend preventive measures. Support continuous improvement projects through data analysis, performance monitoring, and system optimization. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, ISO) and safety regulations. Provide technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance teams. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial control system design and implementation. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7 series, Rockwell ControlLogix, or equivalent). Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk, Wonderware). Strong understanding of PID control, feedback systems, and process dynamics. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA). Knowledge of instrumentation and process control devices (sensors, valves, transmitters). Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control logic diagrams. Problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to system diagnostics and optimization. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
