Job Summary/Purpose: The Resale Shop Associate supports the daily operations of the resale shop by delivering excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store. This role  also assists with receiving and processing donations and contributes to advancing the mission of the Ohio’s Hospice through positive customer and donor interactions. Key Responsibilities • Greet and assist customers and donors in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.  • Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and balance the register as needed.  • Answer questions about merchandise, pricing, store policies, and donation guidelines.  • Accept donations from the public, provide receipts as needed, and thank donors for their support.  • Sort, inspect, and prepare donated items for sale according to store standards.  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor, donation area, and checkout space.  • Stock shelves, arrange displays, and replenish merchandise as needed.  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.  • Support special sales, promotions, and store events.  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations. • Fulfills other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  • Basic math skills and attention to detail  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move light to moderate items  Benefits & Perks: your health and happiness matters!
