JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Research and Development Dept at Epsom & St Helier Universities NHS Trust as Research Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work in a Clinical Research Environment.
You will work as part of the Research Team; supporting and delivering high quality research. There is an expectation to work primarily on supporting the Lumella trial. The maternity research team supports studies across a range of specialities so there may be opportunity to support other NIHR activities during any periods of reduced workload for Lumella.
The post holder will work primarily at Epsom Hospital, but may also be required to support research activity elsewhere in the Trust and work cross site.
You will have excellent organisational, IT, ‘a can do’ attitude to work, interpersonal skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
An understanding of the principles of research would be helpful, but specific training will be given to the successful candidate to undertake the role.
A visit to the department or having a chat to the team would be recommended when applying for this post.
