Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

In this vital position, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive research and administrative support to the Chair and research staff, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Assist in designing and implementing efficient administrative systems to support the expansion of the research unit.
  • Play an active role in fostering a collaborative and productive research environment, contributing to the success of innovative projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Research Administrative Officer has the overall day to day management responsibility in supporting the research unit and is responsible for the implementation of administrative processes necessary for smooth running of the office, Importantly this position will act as a first point of contact for senior members of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, universities, plus a range of contacts at all levels from all research stakeholders and hospital staff liaising with the medical team.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in health or medical research, with an understanding of research processes such as ethics submissions, grant applications, and data management.
  • Proven expertise in administrative coordination, ideally within a research unit or institute.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • A passion for advancing healthcare research through meticulous and reliable support
