Job Description Summary
The Research Administrative Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation, success, and growth of the newly established Kreider Lab lead by newly appointed faculty member, Edward Kreider. By providing essential support to new faculty/research staff, this position will significantly impact the efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency of our research and academic activities.
This role involves organizing and coordinating a variety of meetings (both large and small, internal and external), booking travel arrangements, maintaining faculty CVs and FEDs documentation, and assisting with seminar planning. Additionally, the coordinator will help with figure editing, manuscript editing/formatting/submission, and grant preparation/editing/formatting, as well as managing and updating available grant opportunities to facilitate grant preparation. They will also interface with vendors and University staff to arrange shipments, schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with university and federal regulations. The role includes assisting with the planning and execution of special events and scientific symposiums.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with software for figure design, such as Adobe Illustrator and BioRender, is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with Ben Financials, Concur, and PSOM scheduling software is a plus. This individual must be able to multi- task, work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and ensure high-quality experiences for all interactions with the Institute.
