The Senior Research Analyst (SRA) will work on the NIMH funded Center for HIV and Research in Mental Health (CHARM) as coordinator for the EIS Core. CHARM aims to catalyze mental health & HIV science at UM and in So FL with the over-arching theme of “Reducing the Impact of Mental Health and Minority Health Disparities across the HIV Prevention and Care Continua.” The EIS Core aims to support research on implementing and disseminating evidence-based interventions (EBIs) to reach communities who could most benefit. The Core’s emphasis is on training researchers, individuals interested in working with communities experiencing HIV and MH disparities, and established investigators ready to transition their research from efficacy/effectiveness to Implementation Science (IS), while simultaneously engaging implementing individuals and organizations in this process to ensure the results of this work are impactful. The position entails coordinating the CHARM EIS Core and providing direct support to the Core’s activities. The incumbent will report to Dr. Audrey Harkness, the EIS Core Director.
Under the guidance of the Core Director, the Executive Director and Manager of Research Support, the SRA supports research activities within the EIS Core. The SRA will liaise with academic and community/implementation partners and contribute to the strategic and operational goals and objectives of the Core.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, nursing and health studies, or related field.
Master’s degree in public health or a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology) will be a plus.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, experience with community-engagement and research activities preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES

  • Knowledge of research and business principles.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate the activities of a P30 Center Core under minimal supervision, implement and evaluate multiple projects.
  • Ability to implement and meet core goals and objectives that support the Center ‘s strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team and collaborate with different individuals involved in implementation of HIV services (e.g., clinic leaders, frontline providers, etc.).Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time in order to efficiently execute all activities related to the Core.
