JOB DESCRIPTION

Rate: $33.52/hr. on W2

HD LABOR ANALYST JOB SUMMARY:

Research, acquire, and normalize automotive and/or truck and/or vehicle parts information for use in various MOTOR products and services such as FleetCross, PartSaver, and Custom OEM Cross Reference Maintenance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft experience: Excel (be able to write “assist” macros) and Access skills (import/export databases, write queries, write scripts/modules, apply knowledge of parts to efficiently update and make data consistent).
  • SQL skills (minimal skills required).
  • Knowledge of medium and heavy-duty vehicle nomenclature preferred.
  • Background in maintenance or engineering repair, preferably heavy-duty.
  • Knowledge of VMRS standard preferred.
  • Ability to research, compare, and revise existing technical data.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience with Microsoft (Excel, Access & SQL) and/or heavy-duty parts preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Mid-level editing of databases using Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Perform maintenance on AllMaster databases supplied for analysis.
  • Enhance database by using Microsoft Access to create uniform part descriptions that meet the MOTOR standard.
  • Apply industry standard VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) to the part.
  • Verify and assign the vendor to the manufacturer in the database (i.e., the exact same part).
  • Apply additional attributes to parts records, pricing, images, etc.
  • Return to team lead for review.
  • PartSaver data analysis and consultation.
  • Analyze customer parts inventory databases compared to reference databases supplied by the team lead.
  • Make use of previously completed work.
  • Perform edits on remainder of work for part description enhancement and VMRS code application.
  • Return to team lead for quality check.
  • Create and maintain workflow process documentation.
