Description
We’re looking for a curious, driven, and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join DC Byte and play a key role in supporting insight across the global data centre market. This is an entry-level, client-facing role where you’ll quickly build expertise in digital infrastructure markets, contribute to high-quality research, and help shape how we communicate insight to some of the most influential players in the industry. You’ll work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams across Sales, Account Management, and Product to develop your understanding of key markets, strengthen your analytical skills, and contribute to industry-leading client insight and market intelligence. From early on, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas, and build confidence engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders. You’ll also have opportunities to attend industry events, support market engagement activity, and see the direct impact of your work on real-world, multi-million-pound investment and strategy decisions. DC Byte is the leading provider of market data, research, and intelligence for the global data centre sector. At the heart of an industry that quietly keeps the world connected, our technology-led platform empowers the key players designing and developing digital infrastructure to make high-stakes strategic decisions. We deliver the most accurate, real-time, and unbiased insights into colocation and self-build enterprise assets worldwide—supporting developers, investors, operators, and some of the world’s largest hyperscalers. * Someone who is naturally curious with a genuine interest in understanding how markets and industries work. * Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. * Self-driven with the ability to manage tasks, take initiative, and continue learning independently. * Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. * Comfortable collaborating within a team environment while also working independently. * Positive, approachable, and professional in how you engage with colleagues and external stakeholders. * Open to feedback and motivated to continuously improve. Preferred Background * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. * Comfortable working with data and developing familiarity with tools such as Excel. * Interest in digital infrastructure, real estate, technology, or related sectors would be beneficial. * Additional European language skills are advantageous but not required. * Previous experience within the data centre sector is not required — curiosity, resilience, and willingness to learn are more important. Don't feel like you tick all the boxes? Please apply anyway - DC Byte is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from people of different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are committed to running a fair and transparent hiring process. * Maintain and update market datasets, ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency. * Monitor industry developments and verify market information from multiple sources. * Keep property and company information up to date within internal systems and research platforms. * Log research communications within HubSpot and coordinate with internal teams where required. * Support the preparation of presentations, reports, briefing notes, and client deliverables. * Respond to client questions and support day-to-day client engagement activity. * Assist Senior Analysts with consultancy work, market analysis, and ongoing research projects. * Participate in market inspections, site visits, stakeholder meetings, and industry events with guidance from senior team members. * Build and maintain professional relationships across the data centre ecosystem. * Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives, including LinkedIn content and market commentary. * Collaborate with Research, Sales, Account Management, and Product teams on ongoing initiatives and projects. * 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing up to 29 days * Christmas Week closure * Enhanced workplace pension with NEST — company matched contributions up to 5% * Private health insurance with Vitality * Generous anniversary rewards, including access to career coaching, vouchers for days out, and a holiday stipend * Up to one month working remotely per year * £150 stipend towards your homeworking setup * Access to the Government Cycle Scheme * Free coffee & tea in the office
