JOB SUMMARY

As the successful candidate, you will support and contribute to research projects by applying your qualitative and quantitative research skills and your topical knowledge. You will work closely with DPRA Canada staff as well as external partners to plan and carry out projects. As a high potential Research Analyst, you will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and to grow personally and professionally through mentorship and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are essential:

  • Master’s Degree in social sciences, or other related discipline
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a professional applied research context, or similar setting, with demonstratable use of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., community members, program staff, leadership)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to set priorities, work under pressure, deliver high quality products and meet deadlines.

In addition, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience engaging with Indigenous stakeholders and familiarity with cultural protocols
  • Familiarity with, and experience working on projects in Canada’s North.
