About the Role We are looking for a motivated Research Analyst (Regional Equity) to join our team at RHB Investment Bank Berhad. In this role, you’ll meet requests from Institutional Equities sales teams and clients and provide strong research support to Group Wholesale Banking and Group Investment Banking revenue pillars. What you will be doing Cover sectors in the home country, as assigned: Active monitoring of the micro and macro factors affecting the sector(s). Regularly visit companies and organizations related to the sector(s). Generate investment ideas on sectors/stocks including identifying sales/trading opportunities. Write research reports on these investment ideas in a timely manner. Consistently update Institutional clients on the latest development in the sector(s). Assist in production/coordination of research publications and organization of conferences. Accompany a Head of Research or Head, Regional Sector in marketing roadshows and other client servicing efforts in the home country as well as overseas markets, as assigned. Research Analysts, subject to performance, may be given an enlarged role with additional responsibilities to: Cover companies outside of the home country as part of a regional sector team. Participate, and potentially take a leading role, in a multi-sector thematic research project that includes other research analysts in the team. Assist RHB Investment Bank in evaluation potential initial public offerings and corporate deals. Collaborate with related departments in Group Investment Banking, including ECM, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Client Coverage teams. Support and collaborate with Group Research departments, including Economic Research and Fixed Income, Currencies and Rates Research. What we’re looking for A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia. Candidates with knowledge or experience in equity research, financial markets, investment analysis, or related fields. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients. A strong team player, with the ability to contribute to a cohesive and high-quality research output. Ability to work closely with senior management and Board Members to support the development of RHB’s research product and brand. Strong commitment to compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal governance requirements, maintaining the highest standards of integrity in research output and conduct.
