POSITION OVERVIEW:
Research Analyst/Evaluators at Level I and Level II support AD/CVD case and policy analysts by conducting research, analysis, and data evaluation to assist with trade investigations and administrative reviews under U.S. trade laws. These roles provide essential analytical and administrative support through attendance at hearings and briefings, preparation of recommendations, and response to stakeholder inquiries. Level I requires a bachelor’s degree, while Level II requires a master’s or equivalent advanced degree. No prior experience is required.
Background:
The Enforcement and Compliance (E&C) unit within the International Trade Administration (ITA) at the Department of Commerce plays a critical role in promoting fair trade and supporting U.S. commercial competitiveness. E&C enforces U.S. Trade Remedy Laws to counteract the harmful effects of unfair foreign trade practices. Through antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cases, E&C helps ensure U.S. firms and workers can compete on a level playing field both domestically and globally.

WORK LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:
While this position is 100% remote, candidates must reside in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Northern Virginia (DMV) area and be available to report onsite at the Department of Commerce when given appropriate notice.
Special consideration may be granted on a case-by-case basis to candidates who are uniquely and highly qualified but reside outside the DMV area.
Please note: Free or subsidized parking is not available to contractors under any circumstances. Candidates are responsible for their own transportation and any associated costs when reporting onsite.
WORK HOURS:
Work under this task order will be conducted Monday through Friday during normal business hours, excluding Federal holidays and periods when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed closures.
Overtime is not anticipated but may be required based on the needs of the Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) unit. All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the Contracting Officer and will only be authorized for specific situations where statutory deadlines cannot be met through regular work hours.
