RESEARCH ANALYST
Summary:The Research Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to markets, operations, finance/accounting, economics, customers, and other information related to various opportunities outlined by the President. As the research analyst your role is to be quantitative, analytical, logical, and good at managing numbers. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing financial data, identifying IT “smart technology” trends, and preparing reports contributing to the organization’s strategic planning, thus maximizing informed decisions to ensure success for new business ventures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Political Science, Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing or a related field
- Demonstrable experience as a Research Analyst or similar role, with 2-3 years in market research, data analysis, or business intelligence.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate insights.
- Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis and data visualization
- Ability to interpret complex data and present it in a comprehensible manner
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Political Science, Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in research, public policy, market research, data analysis, and business intelligence.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with potential clients
- Knowledge of the legislative process / elected officials
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience using policy data for strategic communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and project manage, prioritize, and execute frequent and tight deadlines with keen attention to detail
- A track record as an excellent collaborator and team player
- Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel
- Advanced level proficiency MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required
- Advanced level proficiency of Adobe Acrobat
