Our Chalk River location is looking for a Research and Development Scientist/Engineer to support our Inspection and Monitoring Technologies Branch. • Understanding customers’ needs and formulating project goals and outcomes.
• Conducting Literature and operational experience reviews, researching and developing new NDE technology, deploying existing NDE technology, and working under the supervision of more experienced staff.
• Initiating proposals, preparing work plans, conducting job hazard assessments, project management, progress reporting, and writing of reports and procedures.
• Designing and performing specialized tests, including designing and constructing experimental testing apparatuses and data acquisition equipment.
• Travelling to reactor sites for inspection campaigns as a Nuclear Energy Worker.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.
