Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the Security, Reasoning and Validation (SERVAL) research group and work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maxime Cordy to transform cutting-edge research into usable, high-impact software tools. The role is part of a broader initiative to support the deployment of trustworthy AI systems by building open-source projects, demonstrators, and prototypes that reflect the group’s academic and industrial research contributions.

The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Act as the main contributor to an open-source project related to AI system evaluation, with the aim to develop it into a real product and foster a user and contributor community
  • Design and build demonstrators to showcase academic and industrial research outcomes
  • Prototype with emerging technologies, frameworks, and methods related to AI and software engineering
  • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing efforts and promote best practices in software development
