The Research and Documentation Analyst shall conduct documentation research activities for sustainment and enhancement of the user interface. The Research and Documentation Analyst shall provide general logistics support in sustainment, knowledge of military systems associated with testing, operational use, maintenance, and sustainment of equipment and technical data support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED and 10+ years’ experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years’ experience working with, sustaining, and supporting military equipment like aerial delivery, weapons, organizational clothing, chemical/biological equipment, and other soldier-related items.
- This position requires CUI access (ADP-III, IT-3, Tier 1investigation) and general user network permissions with the potential of obtaining a Secret clearance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Strong coordination, organization, teaming, and communication skills.
- Must have good organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills and to maintain high level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
- Ability to interact with co-workers to develop a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the basic concept, design, and testing of the software user interface through research of policies, procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Advise on how policies, regulations, standards, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals impact user interface functional requirements.
- Meet with contractors, users, and maintainers, to document/assist the MAT Team with the overall sustainment functionality of the system, support concerns, and recommended sustainment plans.
- Provide review and analysis of equipment-specific data for life cycle management decisions in the user interface.
- Develop, review, validate, and analyze policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Assist in updating draft procedures for future publications, like Operations Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Modification Instructions, and Technical and other Special Instructions, etc.
