The Bartlett Development Planning Unit
The Development Planning Unit (DPU) conducts world-leading research and postgraduate teaching that helps to build the capacity of national governments, local authorities, NGOs, aid agencies and businesses working towards socially just and sustainable development in the global south. The department offers postgraduate education through its research degree (MPhil/PhD) programme and seven MSc/Pg Diploma programmes to approximately 270 local and international students each year.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience in research administration and knowledge of the issues relating to research governance. You will work accurately and efficiently and have experience or understanding of university research funding administration.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work effectively on numerous projects simultaneously; ability to problem solve are also essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will play a key role in providing support for the department’s externally and internally funded research and enterprise projects. The role will involve being supportive in managing the Research and Enterprise proposal process, contracts, financial monitoring procedures, reporting and other grant project related tasks alongside the Principal Investigators, Departmental Manager and Directors of Research, Training and Advisory Services and Short Courses.
It is a full-time permanent post, available from 24th June 2025 . This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site.
