Description

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of professional C#/.NET development experience.
  • At least 2 years of commercial experience with Unity3D and the game development pipeline.
  • Professional experience with Computer Graphics or Computer Vision pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, particularly for AI/ML applications.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and functional programming.
  • Proficiency with Git-based workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage your own work and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of C/C++.
  • Experience with 3D tools like Blender or 2D tools like Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD practices.
  • Mobile development experience (Swift/Kotlin/Flutter).
  • OS-level scripting knowledge (PowerShell/bash).

As an Imperial College London spin-out, backed by major tech giants as strategic partners, we are seeking a talented Research Engineer to join our growing team. You will work on the core algorithms that power our products, collaborating with clients across VFX, gaming, and tech. In our flat hierarchy, you will have the freedom to own, contribute, and develop our core services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and Develop: Write high-quality prototype and production code (C++, C#, Python) for our core 3D appearance capture products and software.
  • Engineer Pipelines: Collaborate with research and software leads to co-engineer working pipelines and prepare code, algorithms, and setups for the team.
  • Architect and Refine: Proactively identify technical issues, help refine system architecture, and define product features using software development best practices.
  • Research and Innovate: Work alongside PhDs to research new ML-based solutions and other innovations that will enhance our product’s future capabilities.
  • Problem Solve: Tackle a wide range of computer science problems, from solution prototyping to network synchronization.
