JOB SUMMARY
The Michigan Public Health - Substance Use Policy and Economic Research (M-SUPER) Network at the University of Michigan School of Public Health is seeking an independent and motivated Research Area Specialist to join our team. The M-SUPER Network is an interdisciplinary, interinstitutional consortium of faculty, investigators, and trainees. It is led by Dr. Thuy Nguyen who serves as the director of the M-SUPER Network and the John G. Searle Assistant Professor of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. The Network members employ rigorous quantitative approaches and leverage access to multiple large databases to address pressing substance use policy knowledge gaps.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual with experience in managing the many details of a complex project. A successful candidate should have experience in both project management and data analysis. We are focused on finding someone who will be an engaged team member and good communicator. Within the M-SUPER network, a successful applicant will be part of a small, dynamic research team responsible for conducting multiple NIH-funded projects. These projects will be related to data analysis, modeling, and dissemination.
