Hiring Unit:
Department of Chemistry

Position Summary:

  • Develop fast, effective, and sustainable route for coupling diverse alcohols, amines, and amides with CO2 via heterogenization of a natural metal-based homogeneous catalyst.
  • Decorating on functionalized graphene oxide.
  • Develop alternative and sustainable technology to decrease CO2 emissions.

Qualifications:

  • Work well within a research team.
  • Communicate effectively both in planning experiments and reporting results

Experience and education:

  • Minimum a B.Sc. degree in the field of Chemistry.
  • Experience working with chemical synthesis and catalysis.
  • Materials characterization experience (e.g. Raman spectroscopy, mechanical testing, fiber X-ray diffraction).
