The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. Our services are delivered to help transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. Our goal is to tailor treatment to each individual, providing patient-centred, comprehensive, coordinated care.
The Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is the first research and education centre in Canada dedicated to improving care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health challenges. The Centre’s efforts are organized around four pillars – research excellence, clinical innovation, education and training, and knowledge exchange.
Reporting to the Research Manager, the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is seeking a full-time, 4-month contract Research Assistant II to support projects focused on adults with developmental disabilities and caregivers. This will include some data management, summarizing information from clinical charts, assisting in the preparation of reports, and other knowledge translation efforts. Some of these products will require bilingual (English/French) communications. This role is ideally suited for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with excellent organizational abilities, and fluency in French and English.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing datasets in Excel, summarizing descriptive statistics, and translating reports and knowledge products into French to ensure accessibility across diverse audiences.

The successful candidate must have at least three years of community college education in health or social sciences, or equivalent.

  • Prior research experience with individuals and/or families with neurodevelopmental disabilities is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant research experience involving quantitative data entry and analysis is required
  • Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written), with experience translating documents, is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with academic literature databases such as PubMed
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow SOPs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively within a collaborative team environment
  • Completion of GCP, TCPS2, and privacy training related to human participant researc
Responsibilities
  • Conduct data entry, cleaning, and for descriptive analyses
  • Perform basic analyses of datasets using Excel, including Pivot Tables and formula-based logic
  • Assist in synthesizing quantitative findings for internal review
  • Translate research materials, reports, and other materials from English to French
  • Help maintain electronic study documents and databases
  • Conduct literature searches using platforms such as PubMed when needed
  • Collaborate with project team members and attend regular team meetings and assist with meeting coordination. Some of these meetings will include French speaking team members.
