Position Summary:

  • Preprocess and analyze EEG recordings and other experimental data from animal and/ or human studies.
  • Apply advanced quantitative techniques such as entropy measures, criticality analysis, power spectra, and network connectivity.
  • Implement machine learning models to detect patterns in large datasets and assist in predictive modeling.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts in Python or MATLAB to automate data workflows.
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians, and other data scientists to interpret results in a biological and clinical context.
  • Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and scientific computing.
  • Familiarity with neuroscience concepts and EEG data preferred, but not strictly required.
  • Knowledge of nonlinear dynamics, entropy, and criticality measures is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Skills Required:

  • Prior research experience with EEG or neurophysiological data.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) for interdisciplinary teamwork.
