Description

The Precision Brain Health Initiative at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated, proactive and collaborative full-time Research Specialist. The Research Specialist will work directly with participants and data from multiple different longitudinal cohorts, including the Precision Brain Health Initiative, BU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and the Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program (FHS-BAP). We seek a highly motivated, proactive, and collaborative individual. This job involves working with elderly participants who may be cognitively impaired, so experience with sensitive populations and patient facing or customer care experience are a plus. The position will involve recruiting and conducting study visits with participants, which include administering neuropsychological assessments, coordinating MRI/blood draw appointments and answering participant questions regarding technologies they are using. Duties include: enrolling and following up with participants, managing study data, preparing data and study summaries in the form of reports and presentations. Additionally, the Research Specialist will take part in general project management and creating/providing materials to meet administrative and funding organizations’ reporting requirements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-2 years of research experience (that occurred in conjunction with attainment of Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a highly dynamic, frequently evolving research environment.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to Framingham, MA (3-5 days).
