BASED IN LIVERPOOL WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AS REQUIRED
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our collaborative research team in the Malaria Epidemiology Unit of the Clinical Sciences Department. The unit is involved in teaching, provides technical assistance, and has a strong emphasis on research into the treatment and prevention of malaria in endemic countries.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to vital global health research investigating the safety of antimalarials used in pregnancy.
The successful candidate will contribute to reproductive/perinatal pharmacoepidemiology studies in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). The candidate will support data analyses from an active multi-centre prospective cohort of pregnant women and their infants. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with an international and multidisciplinary team to develop a pregnancy pharmacovigilance tools suitable for LMICs.
There is also the opportunity to become involved in several ongoing and new projects within the group, primarily involving malaria in pregnancy.
