Position Summary The Research Assistant supports multiple research studies at ACCESS. This includes patient recruitment and enrollment, data collection, data entry, chart audits/reviews, and general support of research studies as needed. This position will ensure that all study activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policies & procedures developed by Institutional Review Boards (IRB), National Institute of Health (NIH) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International. This is a temporary grant funded position. Core Job Responsibilities Conduct and execute research patient recruitment and support enrollment efforts for research studies per protocol. Conduct consent of patients or providers into studies, provide basic reporting to study lead or principal investigators on recruitment and enrollment data. Develop documents illustrating workflows or processes for recruitment and enrollment. Assist with collection of data for studies as assigned; retrieve information from the Electronic Medical Records (EMR)-EPIC. Support Data Entry in research study databases: REDCap, Eureka, etc. Perform routine administrative duties as instructed. May be asked to travel to various ACCESS locations; to work and/or support research patient. Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support health equity initiatives. Requirements/Preferences Associates degree required and bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum one (1) year required in research conduct; recruitment & enrollment of research patients in a business/healthcare organization preferred Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, required; Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel, preferred Experience using Internet/Intranet and social media platforms Experience with EMRs (EPIC preferred) and research data entry platforms & database software (REDCap) preferred ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. Depending on position applied/being recruited for, candidates may be required to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and provide supporting documentation proving that they are properly vaccinated, or apply for religious and/or medical vaccination exemption as a part of the application process. The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
