Research Assistant: Part-time 20 hours flexible schedule. Research Assistant needed for a University of Connecticut clinical research program conducted at the APT Foundation. Primary responsibilities include research support for an NIH funded study. Duties include but are not limited to: screening potential research participants in a variety of settings; scheduling and conducting interviews with research participants; assistance with data quality control; helping to coordinate study activities and recruitment for assigned study; engage in training and supervision as needed to ensure quality intervention facilitation; other duties as assigned.
Professional Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other related field with at least 2 years of related work experience, preferably in research. Must be interested in clinical research; have a passion for working with at-risk populations; able to work sensitively with confidential materials; non-judgmental, compassionate attitude; self-motivated/reliable and possess excellent written, organizational and communication skills.
Counselor, North Haven: Full Time 37.5 hours + benefits, Schedule 5-1pm with rotating Saturdays. Provide group and individual counseling to patients receiving Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) through a comprehensive, recovery oriented and trauma informed treatment process. Meet weekly with Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Director to review caseloads, and for clinical supervision and professional development. Participates in weekly treatment team, counselor and staff meetings to review patient treatment plans and reports to facilitate patient interventions and agency initiatives. Attendance is punctual and reliable, and necessary absences are planned in advance.
Professional Requirements: BA or BS in Human Service field, CAC or CADC Certification from DPH (Dept. of Public Health) + Experience. Bilingual preferred.
Licensed Clinician: Full time 37.5 hours per week + benefits package, sign on bonus. Schedule determined by program need. Provide group and individual counseling to patients receiving opiate replacement therapy through a comprehensive, recovery oriented and trauma informed treatment process.
Professional Requirements: Clinician 1 -Associate License issued by state of CT and must be within prescribed period of completing supervised hours. Clinician 2- Master’s Degree + licensed by the state of CT (LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Must have strong working relationships with community providers. Must have valid CT Driver’s license. Attendance is punctual and reliable, and necessary absences must be planned in advance. In addition, the ideal candidate must be willing to work in a high stress environment, must be able to manage multiple competing tasks, and demonstrate competency as a collaborative team member.
