Job Summary
Highly motivated individual interested in women’s+ health and/or the field of health research. Under the direction of Dr. Lori Brotto, this Research Assistant will assist with knowledge translation and social media products.
This part-time, hourly position provides a flexible work schedule.
Organizational Status
The Research Assistant will be supervised by Dr. Lori Brotto.
As needed, the Research Assistant will receive orientation and logistical support on working in a health research environment from the Lab Manager.
In accordance with the UBC hybrid work guidelines, the position will offer a flexible workplace environment that includes both remote work and the option for onsite work at the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre.
Work Performed
The Research Assistant will work as a social media assistant for UBC Sexual Health Research (SHR) primarily assisting with the eSense research projects. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Consequence of Error/Judgement
The Research Assistant is expected to perform professionally, make proper and sound decisions, and must be able to exercise judgment and tact. Errors in judgment could lead to lost productivity and missed deadlines.
Supervision Received
Direct supervision and review of tasks and performance will be carried out by Dr. Lori Brotto. The Research Assistant will work independently with regular check-ins with the Principal Investigator and weekly team meetings with other members of the SHR team.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation, some additional training in a related field and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
