Description
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with MIT-RAISE, co-created the Al Education for Students Project. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, it aims to cultivate AI literacy and competencies in students, empowering them to learn more effectively, use technology more discerningly, innovate more creatively, hence better prepared for the future workplace and society. The Project engages schools to provide equitable access to quality AI learning for students in Hong Kong. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines; (ii) at least two years' experience in software quality assurance and testing for web-based applications and prior experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integration; (iii) proficiency in writing manuals and automated test cases for frontend, backend, and APIs; (iv) hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, and Robot Framework), with familiarity with security and performance testing methodology; (v) self-motivation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in teams; (vi) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (vii) experience in testing AI-driven applications is a strong advantage, particularly in evaluating model behaviour, data integrity, and ethical compliance. Fresh graduates with exceptional project portfolios will also be considered. The appointee will be responsible for (a) designing and implementing test plans/cases for web applications and APIs; (b) executing manuals and automated tests across the frontend, backend, and database of web applications; (c) developing automated test scripts; (d) identifying, documenting, and tracking defects; (e) performing regression, performance, and security testing; (f) collaborating with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes; (g) maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/GitLab) with Dockerised testing environments; and (h) performing any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
