The German Institute of Development and Sustainability gGmbH (IDOS) is one of the leading research institutes in the field of sustainable development and development policy. Through excellent research, policy advice and training, the institute contributes to finding solutions to global challenges.
To support research staff with different tasks, the Department “Transformation of Economic and Social Systems” at IDOS is looking for a research assistant. The position will contribute to a range of tasks within the department. The department, for example, analyses current topics in international trade, investment and finance through an economic and political lens. It is guided by the question of how to create a global economic order that contributes to achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and thereby ensures a fairer and more inclusive globalisation.
Tasks typically include literature and data search, literature reviews, quantitative tasks such as merging, cleaning and/or data analysis, and support the facilitation in and around workshops and conferences. Stata or R skills and a background in economics are strong assets.
