The BreathForDx (breathfordx.org) project is looking for a research assistant who is fluent in both English and Arabic. Fluency in additional languages would be an asset. Students are encouraged to apply.
The research assistant will support a study that is investigating the use of a novel breath sampling method to diagnose respiratory illnesses. Please apply if you speak English and Arabic, and specify fluency in any other languages in your application. Note that you do not have to have a medical degree or medical training for this position. The position is part-time and the time commitment will vary by week, up to a maximum of 42,5 hours per month.
The physical work station is at the Patrick Henry Village migrant arrival centre in Heidelberg, and the assistant will be required to work there 1 – 3 mornings per week (8:00-12:00). Additional meetings may be held remotely and at the UKHD campus in Neuenheim. The study is affiliated with the Department of Infectious Disease and Tropical Medicine as well as the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health.
