We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position(s) in the School of Science and Technology: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will work under the supervision of the Project Lead and Co-Principal Investigators in a project “GenZ Innovate Professional Hackathon (GZIPH): Cultivating Next-Generation of Applied Scientists” (Q1152). The GZIPH project is an experiential learning initiative designed to foster interdisciplinary, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial mindsets in students. It focuses on real-world challenges in areas such as gerontechnology, personalized healthcare, environmental science, and smart cities, utilizing advanced technologies like 6G wireless communication, Artificial Intelligence (AI), drone, and Virtual Reality (VR). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Develop Learning Materials: Developing and deploying comprehensive and self-paced online learning materials for students. The content will cover the fundamentals and advances in key technological areas, including wireless technologies (5G/6G, UWB, WiFi-7, BLE), drone technology, and relevant AI techniques; Project Coordination & Logistics: Coordinating all logistical aspects of the progressive hackathon series (Hackathons A, B, C, and D). Assisting in project preparation, including student recruitment and orientation sessions. Helping to organize entrepreneurship training sessions and experience sharing events involving industry partners; and Administrative and Reporting Support: Maintaining documentation and attending regular Progress Meetings with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs). Supporting the overall project management and team activities. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A Master’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Science or a related discipline (for Research Assistant I); A Bachelor’s degree or above in any of the aforementioned disciplines (for Research Assistant II); Familiarity with, or a strong foundation in, modern technologies, particularly: Wireless Communication (e.g., 5G/6G, IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms or Data Science, and Drone or Virtual Reality (VR) technologies; Demonstrable experience in content development or e-learning material creation is highly desirable; Excellent organizational, project management, and logistical coordination skills; and Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with faculty, industry advisors, and a large number of students from diverse academic backgrounds. Duration of Appointment 1-year. Successful candidates will be appointed on a full-time contract with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
