RESEARCH ASSISTANT II

Location: Texas Medical Center
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Deans Professional Services is actively hiring a Research Assistant II for a prestigious research institution in the Texas Medical Center. This position supports scientific research in hematopathology and computer-assisted image analysis. We are seeking a qualified candidate with a strong background in the basic sciences and a minimum of 2 years of relevant research experience.

JOB SUMMARY

The Research Assistant II will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in planning, executing, and supporting research studies. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, regulatory documentation, scientific writing, and day-to-day research coordination.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a basic science field
Preferred: Master’s degree in a basic science field

MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF RESEARCH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred:
Proficiency in R or similar statistical software
Experience with data interpretation and visualization
Familiarity with scientific writing and research documentation

SKILLS

Strong attention to detail and task management
Ability to interpret complex data sets and produce supporting visuals
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and within a team research environment
