JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques and a passion for advancing scientific knowledge. This role involves supporting various research projects, conducting experiments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and documentation within our research laboratory.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field; relevant research laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in tissue culture techniques and familiarity with cell biology concepts.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology methods including PCR, protein purification, and assays.
  • Experience with microscopy techniques and flow cytometry is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in R or Python; familiarity with SAS is desirable.
  • Understanding of clinical trials processes and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct tissue culture and maintain mammalian cell cultures, ensuring optimal growth conditions.
  • Perform protein purification and various assays including ELISA, Western blot, and PCR.
  • Utilize microscopy techniques for cell analysis and documentation of experimental results.
  • Engage in patient monitoring as part of clinical trials, adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Collaborate on the design and execution of experiments related to molecular biology and cell biology.
  • Analyze data using programming languages such as R and Python; experience with SAS is a plus.
  • Review documentation to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and HIPAA standards.
  • Assist in flow cytometry and chromatography processes for sample analysis.
  • Participate in transfection procedures and support ongoing clinical research projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations to contribute to research publications.
