Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant); OR completed secondary education or above, with Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in AL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (for Junior Research Assistant); (ii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iii) proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office; (iv) good communication skills; (v) willingness to learn; and (vi) good interpersonal skills and a responsible work attitude. Experience in patient interaction, database administration and maintenance, artificial intelligence or statistical knowledge would be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Junior Research Assistant. The appointee will be responsible for (a) working predominantly on clinical research in the Division of Cardiology at the Princes of Wales Hospital; (b) coordinating the clinical study with patient recruitment, follow-up in clinics and hospital wards; (c) managing data collection and data base maintenance; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
