Description
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a keen and experienced Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant to assist in research studies of sleep and mental health. Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Counselling, Medical Sciences, Social Work or related disciplines; (ii) a proficient Cantonese speaker with strong communication skills; (iii) well-organised, reliable and efficient; (iv) readiness to make original contributions and to work with team members; and (v) enthusiasm in research and clinical translation, especially in mental and sleep health. Relevant experience in psychological or psychiatric research is preferred. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) participant recruitment and communication; (b) arranging and conducting clinical and research interviews with subjects; (c) performing data entry and analysis; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. Working outside normal office hours and during weekends may be required occasionally. On-the-job training will be provided as necessary. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for three months , renewable subject to mutual agreement.
