Position Summary:
The Indian Ocean World Centre (IOWC) at McGill University seeks one (1) part-time undergraduate student research assistant, whose primary responsibility will be to facilitate the IOWC’s research activities and events. This position is for a specialist assistant in the economic history of Madagascar and the Indian Ocean World. For more information on the IOWC’s activities, see:

Qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Candidate should either be enrolled in or have completed undergraduate courses related to history and/or the Indian Ocean World.
  • Native proficiency in French as well as English.
  • Excellent academic writing skills.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills.
