Function/Duties of Position Research assistant to work ongoing experiments using rodent models of aging and neurodegenerative disease to evaluate potential neurotherapeutics. Position will primarily involve mouse handling and colony maintenance, assess gene and protein expression in mouse tissue, and help coordinate VA animal protocols. Position is part-time and goes through August 2026. Required Qualifications Bachelor's in any field; OR Associate's AND 3 years of relevant experience; OR 4 years of relevant experience; OR Equivalent combination of training and experience Preferred Qualifications Two semesters of experience in a neuroscience lab Data analysis in excel Histology analysis in Image J Additional Details Work schedule may vary depending on job requirements On site position at Portland VA lab May have regular exposure to noise and interruptions Must be able to stand for up to 2 hours Why apply to OHSU?
