Department/ Unit: Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Closing Date: October 23, 2025 The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Research Assistant Professor in the field of gynaecological disorders. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, teaching, and clinical operations in gynaecological medicine. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in biomedical science or molecular biology or related fields; (ii) at least 5 years' research experience in the study of pathophysiology, therapeutics and mechanism for gynaecological disorders, especially areas relevant to endometriosis, reproductive failure, or pathology; (iii) proven expertise in clinical, laboratory and pharmaceutical research, including experimental design, biomarker discovery, and drug development; (iv) experience in using AI in research; (v) relevant publication record in peer-reviewed and high-impact journals; (vi) demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate students and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams; (vii) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and (viii) motivation to drive research translation and professional development in patient care. Duties include (i) Undertaking undergraduate teaching; (ii) supervising research students; (iii) engaging in grant writing, scientific publication, and knowledge transfer; (iv) supporting departmental research collaborations. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
