Department/Unit: Chow Yuk Ho Technology Centre for Innovative Medicine Closing Date: Until the post is filled. Chow Yuk Ho Technology Centre for Innovative Medicine (TCIM) is seeking a highly motivated early-career researcher with outstanding potential in regenerative medicine, biomaterials, or nanomedicine for the post of Research Assistant Professor. The applicant should have (i) a PhD degree in Polymer Materials Science, Nanomaterials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline; (ii) first-author publications in high-impact journals; (iii) a strong theoretical foundation and independent research capabilities; (iv) demonstrate innovation and commitment to cutting-edge research; (v) a high integrity, responsibility, diligence, and excellent teamwork and communication skills; and (vi) a proficiency in written and spoken English. The appointee will work in the following research areas: 1. Fundamental and applied studies on mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs); 2. Development of novel biomaterials and nanomedicines for regenerative medicine and disease therapy; and 3. Design and application of engineered exosome-based drug delivery systems. The appointee will be expected to (a) develop and participate in independent/collaborative research projects; (b) seek external research grants; (c) supervise research assistants and students; (d) assist in laboratory management; and (e) perform other duties as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
