Job Title: Research Assistant (Public Engagement)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To develop and implement science communication strategies and contribute to local and international research projects

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Health or a related field
• Previous experience in science communication and public health research
• A good team player who is self-motivated and well-organised with the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in sustainability, public health and climate change
• Familiar with IT systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Develop and implement science communication strategies, including writing articles, blog posts and creating other content;
• Support in the development and organisation of public engagement events, seminars/ webinars, outreach campaigns and related activities;
• Conduct policy-relevant research on public health in Southeast Asia;
• Present research findings at national and international conferences and contribute to peer-reviewed publications;
• Support budget monitoring and tracking of expenditure for research programmes;
• Other duties in support of the team and related to the role.
