Pay Range: $10.00 - $30.77 per hour

Summary:
Under the supervision of a lead investigator, the Research Assistant is responsible for collecting and analyzing information according to the research study protocols. The Research Assistant conducts assessments and collects data for research studies. The Research Assistant contributes to the analysis and interpretation of the study data. In addition, the Research Assistant assists in writing a variety of reports and publications. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Detail oriented with high attention to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport with a diverse pool of research participants.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive topics and maintain confidentiality of participants.
  • Ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary team settings.
  • Availability to work evenings, overnight and weekends if called for under the study protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, screens, and schedules potential study participants.
  • Conducts interviews and/or administers questionnaires to study participants.
  • Follows protocols for data entry and cleaning
  • Analyzes data and contributes to data reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Participates in the preparation and delivery of presentations to disseminate study findings.
  • Maintains study records and edits for completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilizes approved procedures.
  • Helps maintain study procedure documentation.
  • Prepares study related materials.
  • Assists in grant proposal writing.
  • Attends regular team meetings.
  • Assists in communications with researchers and members of the research community.
  • Troubleshoots field issues when necessary.
  • Uses discretion to resolve issues when unplanned events arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.
