Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Public Health, Nutrition, Psychology, or a related health discipline; (ii) at least one year of post-qualification work experience; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility, self-initiative, self-discipline, and strong attention to detail; (iv) the ability to work independently as well as being a good team player; and (v) good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in community-based research projects would be highly desirable. The appointee will be responsible for coordinating a community dementia screening and prevention programme. He/She will be responsible for (a) arranging assessment appointments for older adults; (b) conducting data collection (e.g., assessments, questionnaire interviews, and retinal imaging), perform data management and data analysis, and assist in preparing reports; (c) assisting in preparing health education materials; (d) liaising with NGOs and other partners; (e) performing literature searches and reviews; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. The appointee will be based at CUHK but will be required to work at other sites to meet the needs of the research project(s). Working outside normal office hours or on weekends may occasionally be required. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
