Description
The Department of Social Work invites applications for the position of Research Assistant(s) /Junior Research Assistant(s) for Prof. Leung Kiu Yi, Dara. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, and or related disciplines; (ii) excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese); (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline; and (iv) excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Applicants with knowledge and experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies are preferred. The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in overseeing research projects on compassion, mental health, internet interventions, and informal care in older populations. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) conducting literature reviews, (b) providing administrative and logistical support for data collection, (c) managing and analysing data, (d) preparing presentations and reports, and (e) performing other duties as assigned. The appointee(s) will have opportunities to engage with community stakeholders. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
